Anvil mounting and Jigs

The mounting of diamond anvils is critical. 

We typically have two methods of fixing our diamond anvils: gluing or mechanical.

These days, the gluing is mainly used for conical Boehler-Almax diamond anvils. In these cases, it is essential to get the suitable jig to glue correctly the diamond in the seat.

Mechanical mounting gives a very elegant and stable method of fixing diamond anvils. An anvil ring is pressed fitted around the diamond anvil to enable the mechanical mounting in the DAC. A so called force-fitting jig is required in this case.
