Pressure cells for electrical resistivity measurements

Transport coefficients shed light onto conduction processes and the thermodynamics of a variety of electronic systems.
Pressure is a perfect tool to investigate competition of different ground states.

It is important to be mindful that electrical resistivity measurements under pressure is a notoriously difficult technique which requires experience and skills due to the presence and use of electrical wires. Almax easyLab has some solutions in terms of patterned anvils (see Diamonds section).

Which cell is right for my transport measurements experiment?

When choosing your high pressure cell, you will need to decide on few parameters such as:

  • Pressure range of interest
  • Sample dimensions
  • Temperature range
  • In-situ pressure calibration
